Most of you don’t know that, like Rheumatoid Arthritis Guy, I have Super Powers!
Today I woke up feeling achey. Thought it was “just” a fibro flare. But things went downhill all day, and late this afternoon I started running a low-grade fever and my hands, wrist, elbows, feet, ankles and right knee all swelled up and turned pink – the darkest they get, but not the angry red my Momma’s joints used to get.
So I e-mailed my rheumy, and asked for a Medrol dose-pak. Glad tomorrow is Methotrexate day!
Sometimes it’s hard to remain chipper and cheerful, but I just pull out my Super Powers and paste a smile on my face! I have to. It’s too easy to fall into the spiral of feeling sorry for myself. So my “trick” is to remember to give Glory to God for All Things, remembering that He is in charge and there is some reason for having these diseases. I may never know the reasons, but I rely on God being in charge and making good to come out of all things.
So, have a happy evening and rest of the week, folks!
Thanks for this post. Just what I needed.
I’m “starring” this on my Google reader!
